Jesus and God(the term God not just Father) are shown over and over again as two different beings.

As you read the Bible over and over you always will find different things. Some of this is because we read what we want to see in scripture and not allow the scripture to tell us what we should see. I know this because it has happened to me. It has happened to all of us, especially when it comes down to our denomination. We are really quick to quote and attach man made up concepts and preach them as required truth for Salvation when the Bible never requires such. We have some denominations out there that flat out believe and confess that the Bible’s direction about how to worship and what to believe only stands as a second voice after what they do and believe, not the source for the direction for them to follow. In other words they believe they set what is right and accepted first then th Bible(Catholics). To me, that’s scary,  but not surprising. Everyone of us wants to keeps our views no matter how many times the Bible corrects that view. Tradition means more to us than the Bible. Tradition for most people creates our own version of God, while the Bible’s version of God remains pushed away or even unknown compared to the image we made up or preached about. The church will preach about the love of God but the Bible also tells us about the absolute soverity, control, and fury of God too. The Bible also shows clear distinct separation of God and his Son, The lamb , while man tries over and over again to ignore the hundreds of verses that separate them over and over again.
1. Jesus counted himself and his Father as two, not “one.” John 8:17 and 18: “In your own law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father.” Jesus confirmed this truth in John 14:1 when he said: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” There are literally hundreds of scriptures like these that set forth Jesus and God as separate and distinct beings. “Whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the son” (2 John 9). The Scripture clearly recognizes the Father and the Son, but not “both” of them as “one God.”

2. The Bible always portrays God and Christ as two separate beings. Examples are far too many to list, but a few are: When Stephen saw them just before his death, he saw “the son of man standing at the right hand of God” (Acts 7:56); the Church Epistles are authored by both God and Christ; God and Christ rule in the eternal city of Revelation (Chapter 21).

3. Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”John 20:17..Even Jesus tells others he has a God.. don’t you understand the weight of this statement. The risen Christ, with all power and authority “Given”to him tells Mary without doubt that she is to look at the Father as her God and even His. If you are to do this, truly do this for all that it means you can not believe in the Trinity or Oneness. If I can be condemned to Hell for believing Christ’s own words, then so be it. But last I checked Christ is the only one that determines this, not man,not even God, the Father, will judge, he has given that duty to his Son, the Christ and Lamb. And here again, the Bible clearly is making a clear separation of the two. Everything Christ has in power and authority is not his because he owned it , it’s only his because his father who is head over all things, including head of the Son, gave it to him temporarily. 1 Corinthian 15:24-28.

4. The Bible is clear that Jesus is the “image of God” (Col. 1:15; 2 Cor. 4:4). If Christ is the image of God, then he cannot be God, because you cannot be an image of someone and the real person at the same time. If you see a photograph of us, you see our image and you can learn a lot about us from it, but the image is not the real us. Christ is the image of God.

The list goes on and on and on. Even the disciples like Paul open up his letters with clear separation from Jesus and God. What we do is take scripture like John 1.1and create some kind of hidden code for Salvation. Not having a indefinite article means everything in this verse but more importantly what was Christ view?

Traditionally, things like the trinity and oneness have been shoved down our throats for so long that we defend it with great passion and anger, all without one willing ear to listen or true examination. Why? Because the church has lied to it’s members to make them believe that when man, hundreds of years after the day of Pentecost and thousands of people who didn’t even know about a trinity or oneness belief, started coming up with philosophical debates and concepts to make themselves feel better and important, that this actually has a say in your Salvation. The trinity concept is man’s theory, oneness is man’s theory, even Arianism are all just men needing to make up theories about God to feel important. None of these views must be present in your mind or heart for the Power of Christ’s blood to forgive you from your sins. None of this is needed for your acceptance of Christ sacrifice/resurrection, and the confession of him being the son of the Living God to work for righteousness. If you can ever really see this it will free you from a lot of fear and bondage. Allow good translated scripture to show you truth through the power of His Spirit. Quote from it and believe on it not man’s denominational rules for Salvation or the biased translated versions of the Bible to push denomination. You just have to really study and accept his word not assumptions. But once you see this for yourself the scripture words that you have read your whole life will be seen clearer and your eyes will forever be open and you will wonder how in the world you skipped over that simple truth that the Bible shows us over and over, that Jesus too has a God.

“But who do you say that I am?”

but-who-do-you-say-i-am

Mathew

Sometimes in Man’s seeking of knowledge and to be seen and respected, they lose themselves to complicated theories and create their own Doctrines. This has been the path for thousands of years. Because of this, we have today what we see now…Denominations that stretch from one end of the earth to the other. As I have mentioned in my previous entries, I seek Christ without Man’s Theology. The Christ seen in the bible had no such requirements as man has placed on the church throughout the world. Everything from added requirements of Salvation based on creeds,  rituals, to the suits and ties that are worn in service have nothing to do with your salvation. Now, this doesn’t mean that there are no requirements from you for your salvation. You still must accept Christ and his sacrifice and resurrection and as he says himself, “if you love me, keep my commandments.  There is no such scripture that teaches you that those who are really for his kingdom got to continue in their sin’s and live for their flesh. “Be Holy because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). But where does the Salvation begin? It begins with one simple question? “Who do you say that I am?”. This is the knowledge and statement that the entire true church is built off of, as Christ said himself. The Author and finisher of our Faith have already told us the requirement of his Church, so who are you to add more. Have you thought about the simplicity of this question? Or have you allowed others to add more than what even Christ asked of Peter for your salvation? Look at this verse! Look at 2 facts about what the statement doesn’t say compared to man’s requirements.

  1. Peter was not asked if Christ was God or a god.
  2. Peter was not asked to believe in or explain Christ as apart of a Trinity

Nothing about these issues ever came up during the whole ministry work of Christ. No one time did Christ bring to the table the concept of the Trinity, Him being God or a god, and or any other Theology debate that separates our churches from being one because of our denominations. The answer Christ looked for was very simple, He IS the Son of the Living God, the Messiah!

Let’s look at the Just and Merciful God we serve here, the God that is against confusion and look at our denominations that spread across this earth. We don’t represent anything close to what he describes as his Church. If one was just to use the scripture without trying to come up with theories and Philosophies to try and do God’s work for him we would be better off. What if you only quoted the scripture and lived by that scripture regardless if it interfered with Man’s ways, creeds, and theology? If I did that I can stand in front of God without fear of anything. If his scripture says Christ said “The ONLY True God is the Father” (John 17:3)and I quoted that scripture and taught that to others because that is what is said instead of trying to read into it and create other concepts, The God we serve wouldn’t and couldn’t condemn me for that. But if I take that same scripture and start creating other thoughts and basis for that statement elsewhere, then I’m doing something that isn’t needed or required of God and then it’s me who is doing this. This leads to sin and judgment especially if I’m wrong about that path. This is something God could judge me for. Where we fail is that we as a man, have to be able to explain everything(pride) to make it fit our comfort levels, the way our society operates now 2000 years later, etc, etc. We take that scripture and then put it up against another scripture in an effort to try and make it fit Man’s reasoning. And while this is needed sometimes, it isn’t when it comes to the requirement of man to do so connecting it to your salvation. Example: Isaiah 9:6 says Christ would be Called Mighty God. What man does is takes that scripture and John 17:3 and they try and make sense of the scripture’s seemly conflict. This then creates a theory base that spreads into other areas and before long what you have is a denomination based on two or more different ways to look at those scriptures instead of just accepting that they say this and leave it to God to explain once you stand in front of him. During my walk, I have found that if you look hard enough and unbiasedly, you will find something in scripture that could be used to support every single theory in every denomination on the planet. But the simple truth is the words in the scripture never change even if they go against those theories and denominations of others. The Words in the Scriptures are the same for the most part(different translations, of course, play a role) and if you can ever see that there is safety in them over trying to battle through the creeds and doctrines of man, you will find peace. Again, keep in mind, if you believe in only his Word and quote his Word for your direction in life, God will not Judge you for this. But if you theorize and create different thoughts and doctrines in your attempt to show you have figured it out and are wrong, you can be judged for this and God have mercy on you if you have led others down that road as well. Salvation begins with Christ being the Son of the living God and The awaited Messiah. It is completed in the faith that he died for your sins and rose 3 days and 3 nights later. Not one single scripture requires you to explain Christ as God, a god, trinity or anything more for your salvation to count.

Christ without Theology!

the·ol·o·gy

THēˈäləjē/

noun

the study of the nature of God and religious belief.

religious beliefs and theory when systematically developed.

Is it possible? Can we have this world please? Do you remember when you were saved by Grace and faith? Before the Greek and Hebrew text studies? Before the definition and need to say and repeat phrases like ontological Trinity, Oneness, and Arianism belief systems. Before you went out to debate with Mormons or Jehovah’s Witnesses because you just thought you really had them trapped in the corner, all the while you still had bones in your closet that you still needed to uproot causing them to represent a better view of God than you did. Long before you needed to be up front or have a position of authority in the church. Way back when you confessed Christ as you Lord and Savior? When you accepted him into your heart and all you wanted to do was to be closer to God through his Son and live holy? Remembering what it felt like to help others that needed help without judgement or shaming. Before you signed up for biblical study classes and studied prophecy meanings. Before you ever knew that there was anything called a literal translation of bible. Or before you even knew there was so many different bibles at all. You see, if you are like me, then you do remember these things. And if you are like me, you might have forgotten about what it was like back then because we are so weighed down with theology and man’s allegorical interpretations of scriptures. Now, that which is pure, innocent, and loving has been tied into Man’s attempts to define the One being that can’t be defined. What we had prior is what initially saved us. It is what is pure from Him. I personally have never felt a stronger connection to God than before theology became the center piece. And the biggest fact is that God never once required theology from us to be saved or to be his children. I just don’t see the need for a “Religious belief” if God seeks a “Relationship” with us.

The God of Jesus!

The God of Jesus

1 Cor 8:6( it flat out says The Father, not the Son, is the true God)

6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him

Over and over again the scripture makes this fact known so many times. If it’s not Paul’s writing it’s John’s writings in John 17:3 – Revelations and many many other’s. Scriptures like this are found throughout the Bible in the NT of the scriptures. You read them and don’t think twice about them until it’s really put into your view. Praise be “the GOD” and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Clearly showing that the two subjects aren’t the same and clearly pointing out that one of the Subject is the God over the other. Now, what man has come up with ( which Scripture NEVER, I repeat NEVER says itself) is that the reason scripture says this is only because this addressed Christ as a human and being Born a man, it automatically creates the relations between his Father as his God because he was a human being. This, like I said above is never, ever, never said as the case. This thought is known as Theology ( Trinity or even possible Oneness if you believe Christ to be the Father) but it isn’t scripture stated. Nowhere does the bible support Christ having a God strictly because he was born a Man. I repeat again, Nowhere does the scripture ever define roles of having a God being placed on a man simply because he was born as a human. In fact, God says in his word, over and over again, that the God of you is who you choose to make it so with. A man can make a cow, money, even Satan his god and anything else if he chooses to. Another fact that is consistent is that we see no such requirement in scripture that defines God only to humans. Angels have their God as we see in Heaven. So different plains of existence would never automatically create relations of a God over a being. It didn’t matter where Christ was prior to earth, while on earth, or there after, Yahweh is and has always been the Head, Father, and God of Christ. If it wasn’t so, the moment All power and Authority was given to Christ and he returned to Heaven risen, Yahweh would no longer be presented as Christ’s God. But in Revelation, we clearly see the same role and submission of Christ still in the hands of his Father and God Yahweh in Revelation 3:12 and especially 1 Cor 15:24-28

temple

1Cor 15-24-28

the end

This is Christ talking directly to John(in Revelations). He declares, once again, while in heaven long after his return from Earth, no longer human, that he has a God over him that will give them a new name like He(God) will do for Him(Christ) as well. Christ specifically calls the temple his God’s Temple. And no matter what you feel and try to explain away, these are the words from the scriptures and original text. Unlike other scriptures out there that are debatable base on hermeneutics. Nobody disputes these statements in any translation. The True God has no Father or God over him, doesn’t need anyone to give him power and never prays to another or even calls another HIS God. These are pure facts, not opinions and theology made up rhetoric biasedness. These are the words from God’s directed Holy Spirit upon the writers of the Scripture, not doctored up to support man’s theology. Man will try their best to try and explain away something so simple and clear, from saying this is not submission, or that Christ did this out of love for the Father like a gift, or something else that helps them ease their minds that the word says that this was “Submission”. Submission isn’t something given as a gift by a God. Submission is given as owed because someone has Authority over you. The Bible words used here have direct meaning and purposefully are pointing out that the Son is under the Father’s rule and ONLY the Father stands as True God and Master over All things, people, and or beings, even the Son. This also put to bed another false Creed theology that tries to say that instead of the Father Being God himself, that he only has a portion of God of him. No scripture interpretation of God herr is ever looked at or translated to mean that this was not The Father alone in this verse. God doesn’t exist inside the Father, he is The Father through and through. Even most Trinity believers don’t know this about their creed. The average Trinity believer believes that the Father is Yahweh, the God, Father and Creator of all things. Most trinity people never look at the Father as to say that he has yet Another portion of the Being called God inside him but this is what the Doctrine of the Trinity really is. If you don’t believe look it up. Don’t go ask your pastor, your family, or friend. Look it up for yourself and know what you say you believe in. You will be surprised.

Defining myself without Denominations

diversity

There are so many denominations out there. So many different splits of beliefs. These separations happen from even the smallest differences. Some about baptisms words, some about marriage, some about sexes and leadership roles between man and woman, some about location, money, music, most of all, the theology of Christ and God. This has been the most frustrating part of my search and walk as a Christian. The biggest thing and the most common thing that I see that exist between all denominations is the refusal to accept scripture that flat out says and stands against a theology thought that the particular denomination doesn’t want to except as wrong on their part. If it’s not based on Mormons having to accept that Isaiah over and over again without doubt or confusions tells you that Our God Yahweh has declared that there is no other God nor does he even know of any, it falls back on Catholics that have in their own bible no approval to pray to anyone other than Yahweh through Christ and explicitly warns not to create statues of anything in heaven, earth, or beneath and never to bow down to them. I mean over and over again we see Scripture rip apart denominational belief systems like the Trinity thought that somehow Christ is equal to the Father when 1 Corinthians 15:24 tells you without any doubt that the Father is head and True God over all, even Christ himself. And even in Heaven after Christ returned to heaven to be seated as King, no longer being man( since we try and explain away his statements on earth), stills pointed out that He still had a God even while seated in heaven at his thrown and dominion. A God that would change his name soon. This very right to change the name of Christ as Lord, King, and Savior falls to nobody but his God. The Father has no God.  But Trinity believers refuse this fact and hate the very thought of it. And they really hate trying to explain how John, already being heaven, seeing every spiritual being in heaven still found no person named the Holy Spirit seating in the Spiritual throne room( so can’t say it was invisible because everything would be invisible in the spirit world only by those not there but John was there seeing invisible being already) to the left or right of the Father. While Oneness believers have no problem with the Holy Spirit not being a person they still share the same hatred for 1 Corinthians 15:24 and the very simple issue that Christ did die. His spirit went to Hades, fully conscious and whole just like any other person that would have gone to the heart of the earth. That full being that died and went to the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights was a person that wasn’t God because God can’t die. Ultimately, terms like “why have you forsaken me”, “not my will but your will” clearly support different setups of consciousness which create two different persons…not one. Then comes the end when the Son will submit himself under the Father’s rule. The same person can not submit to himself. You can only submit to someone else, someone that is different from you. On and on I can go breaking down, even more denominations but I think you get the point. Nobody is exempt from this issue. Every single denomination that exists right now has scriptures that flat out deny something they believe in and yet they all will refuse to accept these things when they read them for themselves word for word. Why? For the life of me, I can’t understand the need to support man made theology when the word of God ( his original text) stands against it.

Ten Facts of the foundation of a Church that is found in God’s word, not Theology…

  1. There is but One True God and Father, Yahweh or YHWH who we are to love with all our being and the only one prayer is allowed to.
  2. There is but One begotten Son of God, Yeshua( no made up names have been approved by God) who still being “called” GOD( not god) because he sits on the Throne of God, the Messiah, “Only” mediator,  our High priest and King and the only way to the Father to be given honor and praise who we go through to pray to the Father not to pray to directly.
  3. His Holy Spirit is the power and energy of the Sovereign God given to Man to protect, fuel, and guide them in all things to Christ and ultimately to his Father and God. ( The Holy Spirit has no personal name because it isn’t a person. There has never been one conversation had between the Father or Son with the Holy Spirit)
  4. Baptism should be done as the disciples showed…through the one name under heaven by which you should be saved, Yeshua.
  5. Holiness is a requirement because he said so.
  6. Being not just readers of the word but all believers should be doing what is said for them to do.
  7. Sabbath day should be kept Holy and the true day to attend service.
  8. Pagan symbols (Crosses/statues) Idoles, graven images, and the such should be removed from Churches and the people of God. None of these things can protect you. Totems have no place among God’s people.
  9. Man and Woman are the true source and direction of all Marriage.
  10. The man is the head of Woman, Christ over man, and Yahweh over Christ.

Are there more? Yes, these are the basis of any church belief if they put aside man’s theology and depend on the word of God to direct their path. I just wish there was a denomination out there that followed these things. I can find some that follow up 70-80% of these maybe 90% but just like all they refuse simple things over their doctrine vs what the word of God says and this means they place men before God, which isn’t good.

Theology and traditions don’t determine your Salvation.

pole crucifixtion

Tradition and Theology have been taught so long in the churches for over a thousand years that people have forgotten that the scripture and God’s words determine salvation not man. From the very moment that man decided that they knew better than Christ it became so.  Men have always wanted to know more than others and be more than others. It was seen in Christ own disciples John and others. You saw with the Pharisees and those denominations that were given birth from the same mentality. You are taught that everything from the so call Crucifix( which can never be translated in its meaning or word from Starous) to the doctrine of the Trinity and other belief systems come from God. It has brainwashed all Followers of Christ to think that if you don’t believe these things that our Faith in Christ as the Son of God and Messiah is invalid. This type of thought pattern was pushed and forced on the Church from Rome/Jewish Pharisees, all the way down to the Catholic church. Men who thought it was necessary to define God, His son, Holy Spirit and create concepts of beliefs that they came up with but was never stated in scripture. In most cases, the scripture would say something completely different and yet men would not dare to question man in favor of God. Most people today don’t even know or understand that they believe things that are not required in scripture for you to believe in to be saved. They really believe that you can be closer to God in the Church building vs your home, even though the scripture tell you that you are the temple now. They really believe that a silver totem cross around their neck protects them even though the scripture defines this as idolatry. They bow down to images of God and or of his Son even though nobody knows how they look which again creates a false god and causing you to sin according to the Bible’s warning of graven images.  They pray to angels and Saints when there is absolutely no biblical approval or example to do so. They ignore Christ own example of how to pray which involves Exclusive pray to the Father Alone in Christ name. Not even the Son of God is allowed prayer to according to Christ himself and yet today Christians still do so without fail.  Theology and traditions teach you one thing but the actual real words from the original text paint a different story. Theology will force an image of a stake into a pagan Cross to be worshiped and painted on the sides of what man calls the “Houses of God”. And when cornered to show facts, they resort to saying “it really doesn’t matter what he died on” because they know they can’t support it. Well if it doesn’t matter, remove it and focus on Christ. Man will tell you unless you believe in the Trinity you are not of God or saved. Yet Christ stated the very foundation of his church is founded on understanding that he the Messiah and son of the Living God, not that he is God himself, not that he is a trinity and not any other concept created by man. No scripture places such a burden on you as to require you to come up with or believe in a theological concept created by men who today still say that can’t really be explained. Christianity has become so overwhelmingly based on the theology of men and not what God’s words say that we can no longer tell the difference between what is needed for salvation and what is needed for man’s acceptance. If you are a sound minded person that just doesn’t accept anything that is given to you just because they told you and you read for yourself you will one day see the issues I have with the current Churches and direction of the Faith. The need for Christ and his Father’s directions, not man, is really in need of a reboot for our Christians.
