Christ came to serve. As head of the Chruch he served. He didn’t have special parking, side money given directly to him, book stores in the church to charge for God’s word and flip the payments request to “LOVE GIFTS” or “DONATION” to hide the fact it’s still trading in the house of God(which was the Only offense Christ didn’t remain meek about). He Didn’t put in special services so that the church has more of a chance to get more tithes from members and in fact didn’t take one tithe from a single person.
No, he served.. truly served and put himself last among the people. Today pastors are as popular as Rock stars in their churches. They walk around as the Pharisees did in Christ time. They are dressed with the most expensive suits and jewelry their members can afford to put in the tithes plate. They are wined and dined by political heads for votes in some cases. They are given special amounts for birthdays that the church ask for all members to pay. They are escorted in and out of churches. Some even get police detail and their own drivers to carry them around. And yes, they have their own planes and jets in some cases. Some are held in such regurds that they are offered sex by married women in the walls of the church under the vail of counseling much like groupies do for Rock stars. So please tell me how this mirrors what Christ directions was for us in Luke 22? We need change people. This image of “the church” is not at all what God wanted. Sooner or later we must realize this and put a end to it. Pastors should be last among the people and should serve the flock not the other way around.
Tradition and assumption is the most powerful influence over 95% of the churches and its members. We believe because we are taught to believe. We do because others have done. The Bible and all of its translations make it even more difficult because most of them are influence by the same assumptions and traditions that govern churches today. As Christ followers we have a very hard challenge in removing the traditions that govern so many lives especially when most churches are ran and survive off of emotions and entertainment rather than the Word of God. Most people that read this will assume that their church is the only church that isn’t like this but more than likely their church is a part of this one way or another. One of many examples of tradition over scripture is the topic today,” The False belief of the 3 Wise Men”. You have heard of the 3 wise men because you watch TV or movies. You have heard this from even plays or directly from your own Pastor. You have heard how God gave the 3 wise men a Star to ID where his son was born so that they may go and worship him. What if I told you everything about these beliefs are not true? Your first reaction is to disbelieve me or leave this page or stop reading this article because you already assume what I am about to say is wrong. Finally, you just don’t want to hear it because it’s against all that you have been shown and assumed that was in scripture and basically you would rather continue with your beliefs. A small percentage will continue to read because like me they care more about Truth over Tradition.
Matthew Chapter 2 is where this begins. Inside this chapter the very first thing missing is the all important number 3 when referring to the number of Wise men. Nowhere in the whole bible does it give this number in the original text nor in the current text in any bible of worth. Why because 3 was pushed because of the belief of the trinity and its connection with the number 3. There is no purpose to give such a number. People felt that if they added this number this would more validate this as a God created moment when this is so far from the truth.
The next thing we must observe and correct is that the scripture never ever says God created this Star anomaly. This is the image all movies, plays and tv shows create and we as Christian follow and go along with the thoughts of beliefs shown to us on tv, media, and theaters. But for more clarification, stop for a moment and observe what the purpose the star served. Most will say it was there to show the “Wise Men” the Christ the Messiah had been born or to announce the savior’s arrival, right? Well tell me this…if God wanted the world to know the messiah had arrived why wasn’t Christ revealed to the world as the messiah until his baptism at age 33? Until Christ Baptism nobody knew who Christ was as the Messiah. They only knew him as the carpenter Son. Not even his own brothers and sisters knew he was the messiah. My friends Christ was not suppose to be known as the messiah until his baptism. So why did the so call wise men know Christ was the messiah you ask. They didn’t. The so called Wise men were not Wise men as some translation have down. When you research you own you will find that the original word used and removed is the “Magi”. The men we call Wise men were Zoroastrian Magi which is the root word that we get the word Magician from. Don’t believe me…look it up for yourself. This also means at this time would have been know in our time also as Astrologers as well. If you remember the scriptures about Divination and astrologers in Deut 17:2 and especially in Daniel 17:2, the useless purpose they have concerning God’s purpose and will. Bottom line God doesn’t use Astrologers and or magicians and they are rebuked and disallowed to be among God’s people. So now we start to form a clearer picture of what these men were which is completely what we have been shown. Basically they are Pagan men in search of a “KING” to be born. These men obviously knew about the Jewish traditions and knew that a king would be born but being pagan they had no earthly idea who Christ was as far as the Messiah, son of God. The only purpose of the visit of Christ was to gain favor of the foretold King of the Jews. This also brings a different light to what they gave him and how they treated him. Most try and paint the picture these men Worshipped Christ as God or even as the Son of God. They couldn’t have because they were not sent there by God nor understood that Yahweh would send his son born of a virgin. So with this knowledge, where did the Star come from then if not created by God? This Phenomenon was created and designed to locate the Messiah. The same Messiah God himself was not ready to have the world know. The answer is the god of this World and prince of the air, Satan. In Revelation chapter 12 it reveals that Satan targeted Christ as a baby to kill him. This was seen in the act of Herod actions alone in most peoples mind. However, his attempt started with the star he was guiding the Pagan magician and Astrologers with. That’s right it wasn’t God guiding the men, it was Satan who gave them the location so that they may informed Herod of such a child which was in turn suppose to lead Herod to the child for him to kill him. The men after finding Christ gave him gifts and obeisance as a king born. They didn’t know about his divinity so there is no way they worshiped him like most want you to believe because this would require active knowledge of Christ as the Son of God which they didn’t have. Then an angel warned them not to return to Herod so they returned home. The warning here most assume without looking into the context was a warning you would give your friend about danger on the roads going home. It wasn’t. It was the kind of warning you give your enemy if he was to go against your wishes. These same mean left as I said to return home never to have been heard from again. Why? If they truly knew who Christ was would not they have returned? They didn’t. More importantly why wouldn’t they stay? All these men were after was favor like any man at that time or any other time would seek from those who are to rule or have authority. So you see that the context of the information given to you paints a different picture than what your saw in plays or told by others. I always encourage all to read for themselves. Look up the true meaning of words and look up the context of the writing and times of the events. It is only then can you truly understand the bible and its messages. Or you can continue to allow traditions and media to influence what you believe. The choice is always yours.
Have you ever thought about how many times we accuse, believe, and or assume that one particular belief in a subject concerning God and or the Bible actually cancels out all other things to the point that the person now is doomed or destined for “hell”? I have recently and I thought it would be time to share this with you. Now, you may not understand fully where this is going yet so be patient with me. The bible is full of great stories that help define man and our relationship with the creator Yahweh. Genesis gives us the very beginning story of what happen and the punishments that we all face because of it. Deuteronomy gives us the list of the curses and blessings of the Old Covenant, Acts gives us the New Covenant and Revelations gives us a vision of symmetry into the future and end times we will face. In the middle of all this is the “Non negotiables” requirements. Most of us understand Christ as the catalyst to all things made ,all things forgiven, and all things judged. Without him we have no New Covenant access. Without him we have no access to the Father Yahweh. He is the Truly the biggest Non negotiable for Salvation. This is not up to you, you don’t get to go around him, you arent good enough on your on, there is no other name by which you may be saved, and you don’t have the chance to have anything without him. But then we have the insequential’s beliefs. Basically beliefs that have absolutely nothing to do with your walk in Christ or your salvation. Examples there are those that believe that Christ had blond hair or that christ was a black Ethiopian Jew. Some believe he had a beard other don’t. Some believe he was hung on a cross others believe it was a stack. These are examples of insequential beliefs. Basically if you are resurrected to eternal life you didn’t get there simply because you were right about what item Christ died on or him having a beard no faster than if you found out he didn’t. This is not, nor will ever be apart of your requirements for salvation. Nowhere does add that “ye must know that Christ loved having a beard and had one”. If you think about it really, hair is a product of dead cells, immortality would remove hair period because your cells would never decay. This is just facts but this doesn’t move me to the front line of salvation because I know this or believe this. I don’t get special privileges because I got this fact right or wrong. Nor will those who believe otherwise stay dead or go to a hell(depending on what you believe). Speaking of that this again is part of the insequential beliefs. Some say that God would not send people to hell and that it is a metaphor and symbolic to mean death. If you look at the punishment of Adam and Eve, the sentence casted on them was that they would surely die. Nothing in the old testament scripture ever say they would be raised up a spiritual person and then thrown into hell. No, only that they would die and return to the ground or grave which is metaphorically called hades. Christ came to give life, to redeem us for death and the grave, nowhere ever in the punishments does God ever sentence man to eternally spiritual life with Hell. Both Adam and Eve did died. You will die and as Christ calls it, “sleep” until he calls you from your sleep and then this will be the resurrection. If you hanging out in heaven or hell, you can’t be sleep or resting to be waken for resurrection..in fact there would be no need to resurrect someone that is already living as a spirt somewhere else. But again, here we go, if there is a hell or its symbolic, it doesn’t effect my salvation in Christ. I frankly don’t care one way or another I just don’t want whatever the punishments are for those who refuse Christ gift and live for him. It’s not a game show pop quiz test. “If you can’t tell me in 30 seconds or less rather or not Christ, as he grew up, liked women or even dated then you can’t have salvation”. Aaaa no! Our salvation is not this fragile little thing that breaks ever time we believe something that is insequential about God or the Bible. The biggest insequential belief of our salvation is the belief that somehow a person must explain how God is and or how his Son came to be or how they separated, dwelt together, etc, etc. Trinity, oneness, and Arianism are all “Man’s attempt to try and explain God and his Son. This has never been nor will ever be apart of your non negotiables requirement for salvation. Christ had said over and over again that the Father is far beyond anyone’s understanding and it is only him as the Son of God that can understand truly his Father. How stupid would it be to make a requirement for you to explain a being that Only his Son knows in order for you to be saved? Think about people! Yes it’s a nice topic to guess around but nobody was there but them two even before the angels. So stop it! Is it a topic to discuss yes but it doesn’t qualify you as a pastor, priest, and or organization to claim those who explain God differently than you are doomed. Flash fact. No matter what you say or explain about God you are light years x infinity from even getting close to being in the ball park. I could go on and on about other examples of insequential beliefs but I think you get the picture. What matters guys is what the scripture say and that is you and your relationship with Yahweh and his Son Yeshua. Don’t misunderstand me. We should seek the truth always. But we should not have the assumptions that others who dont know or believe things that arent requirements for salvation will not make to the same place as you. Repent and turn away from sins, Obey His commandments, and accept Christ as your Savior and Son of the One true God.. Yahweh and give glory to Him. All other believes need to be kept in they proper place and away from the judgment of others. If it’s a sin that leads to death then this would be non negotiable for Salvation. This is different than just being wrong on details like how many nails was used to hang Christ body.
