Does God require theology, or does man?

This is going to be a touchy subject. But I ask the question, does God need or require theology? You must first start with the basic question… what is theology?Simply put, theology is when we as men seek to construct a coherent system of definitions about God. The same God that we confess to be so complicated and so much more than we can comprehend; with even scriptures themselves from our God telling us that his ways and thoughts aren’t our ways and thoughts. Now stop and think about it. We have developed a mode of operation that is set on understanding the very being we already confess who’s make up is impossible to understand. How is this even possible to do? One fact remains, even if most out there want to believe it or not. ANYONE can imply things about the scriptures if they want to believe something exist in them. That is the fundamental flaw with implying things. If I want to believe in a thought or a way of life in the bible I can imply things all day long but it doesn’t mean that the word of God says it. This is way I ask the need for implications in the bible and our relationship with God. Why do we have to be labeled trinity, oneness, Jehovah witness and so on? All of these schools of thought do the very same thing. They try and figure out the make up of God( how he looks or how he is made)and claim that if you don’t believe our expression of what we think he is made like then you can’t be saved. Where is That is Yahweh’s Word? It’s not! The bible doesn’t require membership role calls for entry into his kingdom. The word doesn’t require one to say…”I am a trinity believer”, “I am a oneness believer” , “I am a Jehovah witness” in order to gain access to salvation. How can these denominations and theology requirements overrule Gods words? Without implying things why can’t one simple just live by the words of the Bible. Even in different translations.. the words…”you have to be trinity or so forth” , “you have to know how I’m made up” , or “you have to be a member on the role of this church ” is not in any bible. An example of what we do and how things developed into the mess that its in now would be like you finding a scripture that says word for word “GOD LIKE CARS”. We then instead of just accepting that God likes cars create a school of thought, doctrine , theology belief, or denomination about how God hates motorcycles, or bikes , or wagons because he says he like cars. Then we have to define which car brand he had to be talking about, which color, how many doors, how fast ,and which side he must have been driving on, right side or left. I could break this down even more but bottom line is that all of this is not needed and it is from all this that theologies and denominations are fueled and could be removed if we just simple allow scripture to be and say what it says. If God wanted you to know or care about what kind of car, which side, or color he would says or add the terms in the same sentence or at least in the same context that the original statement was given. If not leave it as simply GOD LOVES CARS people. Christ is called “God” in the bible him God. Christ says his Father is greater than he is ..then his father is greater, Christ says his Father is his God …then his Father is his God, and Christ says he was with the father in the beginning…then he was with him in the beginning. Why does this require one to label things as a denominational thought, theology or anything else. Just repeat what the word says and believe and do what the word says. There is no other requirement God will hold any of us too. God is not going to require you understand how he is ,what he is ,nor how things work with his make up or his Son’s for salvation because you weren’t there in the beginning and can’t see the Father. If this was the case nobody on earth would ever get salvation because nobody on the planet existing now, have existed, or will ever exist truly knows nor have truly seen God but the Son. How do I know this? Because the bible tells me. Man’s thirst to define and know something they can’t comprehend is the source of all division in the churches, until we accept that this as futile and to take the word for what it is “ALL WE NEED TO KNOW FOR SALVATION” then we will forever continue this circle of fighting and divisions upon ourselves. And I for one am tired of it.

The most important possession I own.

Thank you Jehovah Yahweh for your son and yours and his literal written existence, the bible. I would like to express my overwhelming love I have for God’s word. And having the ESV Study Bible in my life now has brought great joy to mine and my wife life. As I have said before I am a literal person in mind and heart and having translation of the bible reflects that like it did with my previous walk with understanding the Jehovah witnesses.  Everybody is differently made up and wired  uniquely so my way may not fit you or how I relate to things may not be the way you relate to them. Word for word translation have always been my preferred way to read the Bible and study. So if the bible is silent on something I am silent on it. So bible translations that are wrote not with the original manuscript and done by rewriting scripture meanings in English is a problem for me. Example…. the message bible is not a word for word translation . The amplified version of the bible isn’t a word for word translation either. So using those are not how I’m built. You may be different and that is fine. It just doesn’t work into my make up. So through the years I have relied on the NASB.  At the time when I first got it it was hands down the best word for word to English translation the world had ever seen. But even it still had flow issues with the sentence structures that most thought could not be helped. At least until the EsV came out.

…. It’s translation and study notes are the most rich, detailed, and complete formation of scripture accuracy, read structure and unified doctoral work placed inside one bible the world has seen. There is nothing I own that is more important than this book. Its the word of God with factual information,  diagrams, studies, and maps that lead the readers for the first time into a complete layout of our relationship with yahweh and His son, the understanding of different views and schools of thought unbiased, and reference points that all add up to a small seminary school inside one book. I can’t put into words or express just how excited I am for this purchase. Ministers out there could grab this bible alone and have more than enough material to do almost whatever they needed to complete their sermons or lessons. No more picking up that book here and that book there. No more searching forums or sites for information. If you need it and if its a issue its in here. There is even another one bigger than what I have that holds even more information than I have. Probably going to pick that one up as well for the home bible for the living room area of the house. So if you are looking for a deeper understanding of God and his Word and are looking for the amazing study bible to end all study bibles, look no further. They come in all types of styles. Some leather like mine, some black leather, some mixed toned, and some paper back. And I believe they start off at 29.99 and go all the way up to about $250 or more depending on type of leather and style. Personally I would go with mine. Its a personal edition that was $55 on sale regularly $65. And that way you can remain portable and it will last forever. I even plan on given this to my child when he becomes close to that 20 year old mark. Anyway…thanks for reading.

The last stand.

What I have to believe and change to be a JW

1. Jehovah is the only real name of God when I know that it isn’t.
2. Jesus is not God even though the bible clearly calls him this.
3. God didn’t tell me about my wife because he doesn’t speak to us inside our spirit like that when we know that he did.
4. My speaking in tongues is of satan, when you know that it isn’t.
5. God doesn’t speak to us through his spirit only through bible scripture memories and action of others in the church.
6. Christ didn’t physically raise from the dead when Christ showed that he was physical and denied that he was a spirit in scripture.
7. You have to believe that you won’t see God or be with Jesus on earth.
8. That the holy city isn’t real that Revelations talks about.
9. That Jehovah witness today are the only ones known as the new spiritual israel and are apart of the people talked about in the last days as the 144,000.
10. Have to believe in limiting my time with my child for unnecessary time such as fun time if they are a JW and choose to go to another church or do any thing on a regular bases as a sin.
11. Have to believe that if I am dying or my child is dying that the organization can disfellowship my me if I authorize the use of blood to save him or me.
12. Have to believe that God isn’t in control and that he doesn’t know all things even though the bible gives reference to it.
13. Have to believe that Michael is jesus without one scripture that says it.
14. Have to believe that celebration of birthdays and Christmas is wrong and apart of sin rituals of the pagans without any scripture that says it.
15. The cross was not used in killing Christ. Only a stake… Stake only describes the wood that was used as the instrument of death not the how it was shaped or put together.
16. Don’t believe in fighting wars or killing someone to protect oneself or country but yet the Old Testament is full of people under commandment by God to kill even the members of their own family. So fighting is apart of God “at times” and those that refuse to would still be judged by God as Israel was when they made peace with country God told them kill.
17. Says I can’t participate can’t take and eat or take and drink in the supper unless I’m of the 144,000 even though Christ presented this for all.

*****Things you don’t agree with in most churches today. *****
1. Trinity( equal power , authority of christ and his father)
2. Christmas tree and Easter celebrated.
3. Money hungry.

Bottom line there are far more things I have problems when looking into being a Jehovah witness than I do with any church I have gone to or seen. So with that I conclude today that I can see no further consideration of being a Jehovah Witness. The people are great just like the Mormons but again there is to many issues with the way I feel and my experiences that teach completely different experiences with God vs what they say is their experience beliefs teaching about God. And now that I understand more about what they believe and why they believe it I can clearly say I am not one of them and don’t see myself being one at this time. If I could bottle up my friends like perry, Stuart , and Rudy I would. They have truly been great and loving. But sometimes things just don’t fit and this is one of those times. I’m sure it will be hard for them to except this but its not them or personal. There is just too many issues and concepts that are opposite of what I see in the bible and how I’m built.

The counsel of great bible thinkers?

The church and all of its members of thought. Great men of valor and honest hearted. If you ask most serious members of churches what their goal is they all say to serve God. An even smaller number if the same elect will actually do this as long as it doesn’t go against traditional values or mind of thought taught. And en even smaller percent will do this regardless of anyone else or anything else that stands on the opposite side. This is where I would want to be. I don’t care about traditions, men, or ways of leaders or organizations. It’s about YHWH. One thing all this time with the jehovah witness have taught me is that no concept , trinity, oneness, and or Jehovah witnesses have all the answers. And yet all of them will put down the others as false, as if they have the answers to it all and they all don’t. None of them can answer all issues or questions about YHWH. And all share one concept together though. They all say the same statement…”we are the right way and all other are false”.

Trinity , even though the concept or thought wasn’t even known or thought about during the writing of the bible somehow became something that was fact. Fact that Jesus, Jehovah, and the Holy Spirit are three different persons but share the existence of being One God and all are equal in power, authority ,and knowledge. Obviously there are tones of scripture that go against this concept and yet you can find some that support it , even some that were added to support it (1john 5:7). So you find or can find support for it regardless if you agree with it. Personally for me I see Jesus power comes from his Father, not of his own, Jesus confesses that the Father is greater , Jesus even confesses that his Father knows the end time day and not even he knows this so he is limited to what he can see in the future as well and the most important if Jesus being God says to his Father and others that his God and ours is his Father how on earth can he be God then. He can’t. Yes he is called God because he is the very image of his Father in action, deed, or word but this doesn’t stand as he is truly God almighty if he has a separate will, weaker, and submissive to his Father who he has on more then occasion classified as Our Only God and his even as the risen Christ with all power and authority. And then you have 1Corinthians 15 clearly showing that the son only reigns temporarily and the bible clearly again separating him from God and the Father all while given us confirmation that He, God …is one thing that was not put under the Christ feet and it was the power and actions of God who is identified as The Father, that was placing things under his sons feet and once again showing who had more authority and power. Christ is very clear that our Only God and his is who knows as the Father. You never hear Christ refer to the Holy Spirit person as His God. Whenever Christ mentions his God and the Only God he clearly shows and proves in the verse that he is referring to his Father and not one of the person’s of trinity or even a part of God but always His God or the Only True God as a total person being his Father. The funniest thing about the doctrine of the trinity is that they know that the concept that they believe in doesn’t even make since to them. And yet somehow they think this somehow proves its right and ok for this not to make since.

Then we have oneness, which is very good and close but yet still lacking, at least to me. They remove the trinity and stick to the one God literally. They see verses in the bible that clearly state that God is One, that God is alone, by himself, none like him, no other gods, no God allowed to exist next to him or be formed by him, will not share his glory with another, and Isaiah 9:6 clearly ID’s Christ name to be called God, even Father. Yet who died on the cross? Who could Christ give his spirit over too? How many wills did Christ have, and once God essence left that body (which he did, oneness try and say he only didn’t block Christ pain on the cross. That’s not accurate at all forsake means to leave and that is what happen. God could not dwell in that cursed body while the sins of the world was place on it. Pain they referred to was being put on Christ long before he cried out why have thou forsaken me. Why didn’t he say that when his skin was being ripped off his back. So no pain was not the forsaking Christ was saying. It was the very leaving of God from His sons body that finally allowed that body to die yet that body and person was still conscious and fully alive so if that is the case who was that person without God in him? He was who he always was…the son of God not God himself. And again he still calls his Father His And our ONLY God both while on earth and in heaven.

And last we have the Jehovah witness who I believe are the only ones that have nailed how and what the relationship with Christ and Jehovah is the best (not perfectly but at least very close). Christ is called god by them because he is not God almighty but called I believe is still called God because he is the image of his Father and he has power of authority given to him by his Father to reign as king and God for a little while until all enemies are place under his feet as 1 Cor ch15 says. They also point out that all glory is given to the Father even the glory Christ receives because Jehovah sent him. They also point out that Christ died on a stake and yet we know God can’t die. So that concept alone would put them as separate beings. Yet with them they believe in implying almost everything to support other watchtown beliefs. They refused to believe in a All knowing God, they have actions such as passing of the bread and wine which hold no biblical example or approval to do yet still do based in implying things. They push aside verses in the bible such as Samuel being raised and Christ talking about hell and or Tartarus which is a holding cell for the fallen ones as merely false and means something different even though it says these thing word for word. But yet they still swear to Michael being Christ without one single verse that says it and verses in he Old Testament confirming that there are many archangels(arch meaning chief sons of God were angles) not just one when they quote the bible saying Christ will use the voice of an archangel.

I could go on and on about more for all of them but my point is that everyone of their beliefs can be found or forced into the bible. Maybe the key is all of them getting together and returning under one people and goal. Maybe then we may be closer to that unified church(group of people)Christ is coming back for.
